Mikrofisch´s debut longplayer was recorded on fourtrack in the respective livingrooms of Silvi and Mawe in Cologne and Nuremburg. Five titles were already released in 2001 by Schinderwies on the EP "Please Excuse Our Bad English" on CD-R. The original versions are presented on side A of the vinyl LP. Side B are recordings made one year later (Note: The instrumental Mary, for Mary Hansen of Stereolab who died in 2002). Simplicity and playfulness are characteristics in Mikrofisch´s songwriting. Melancholic moods in Planet or November are complemented by charming odes to punkrock and a twist on heavy metal! Silvi´s melodic basslines are reminiscent of New Order, while the beats in Funky Kiosk resemble Young Marble Giants. Other influences might be Belle And Sebastian and Komeit. Highlights are also the two coverversions: Morrissey´s Everyday is like Sunday and Throw that Beat in the Garbagecan´s Little Red Go-Kart. LP on white vinyl!
